A couple of weeks ago I submitted my URL, www.loveonnettara.com, in the
Online Writing/Science Fiction/Series Stories category.

I don't know who the editor is. I did see it in once of my visits to the directory, but can't remember where. Old age is setting in....

If someone could tell me the editor and/or the status of my submission, I'd
appreciate it.

Thanks,

Judy

OK. I didn't realize you would need a clickable link, and if I had, not sure I would have chosen that format, as this is my first experience with Forum.
So I hope you'll excuse my ignorance.

Do I gather that I am replying to a reply from an editor?

Nevermind. Answered my own question. Will check again in a few more weeks.

Yes, the little orange E next to my user name means that I am an editor. :) See you in a few weeks.

Hello again....

I first submitted my link in early to mid-January. It's been at least a month.
Although I realize you may have a lot of submissions and my sense of time may be warped, it does seem like long, long ago.

A question - if my submission is rejected for one reason or another, will I be notified? I do worry I've done something I shouldn't.

Thanks.

No, you won't be notified. If it's a real site, you'll be developing it all along, and in a year or two if substantial content has been added, it might be worth submitting again.

Eh?

Do you mean it doesn't have enough content, or what? If I knew it wasn't
acceptable for some reason, I'd stop asking, wouldn't I?

It has 21 chapters of a novel.

21 chapters of an original novel sounds like "enough" content for that neighborhood.

We have some editors who really love working in that area. The site will get a sympathetic review...we just don't know when.

I don't think you got an answer in the formal sense - the site has been received (on 4 February). 20+ chapters should, in theory, be plenty and you don't need to update us when you add more content. The procedure now is that at some stage an editor (it could be any one of hundreds) will review your site along with others that are awaiting review there. They will ensure there is sufficient content and that it is placed in the right category. If they accept the site it will be listed. If they reject it they will delete the suggestion. In neither case will they send feedback so you have to look from time to time, and in 6 months, if it has not been listed you can come back to this thread just to check it hasn't been rejected. And just to be clear, they won't actually review the story itself, only check that there is one there. Hope that helps, and good luck with the writing.
