Just thought I would add that I won't be nagging on a regular basis for updates. I've seen some of the other postings :)

But any report on "disqualifying points" ( should I have any ) would be greatly appreciated.

That category has a very large queue, so there's not much I can tell you except that it hasn't been acted on yet.

You may wish to look through the category and see if there's not a subcategory that would be more appropriate for your site.

If you believe that http://dmoz.org/Computers/Hardware/Components/ is the most appropriate location for your site, please understand that it will be a while before the site is reviewed.

Sorry to ask again, within a month, but can there be any indication of my progress? e.g. in 900,000th place out of a list of 1.000.000 entries ?


Also, if i wanted to reconsider my category, would that be at all possible ?

Please wait at LEAST one month between status requests.

Progress is not something that is easy to report on - each site gets processed indidivually, so it's impossible to say "how close" you are to be reviewed.

If this category was the most appropriate for your site (which, by submitting it to that category, you obviously thought it was), then there would be no purpose in resubmitting.

Hi Guys,

Please let me know the status of http://www.boltonpc.co.uk, submitted in Feb 2004, to

http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Hardware/Components/

It have waited for 12 months since my last post.

I understand the category may be very large, but I am interested to know if the site is still in line for review or even if my submission has been rejected, misplaced, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I see no change in status in your suggestions. I, for one appreciate your waiting 12 months to ask again, but we still require that you wait 6 more months for another status report.

We are pleased to consider all your computer-related sites to represent one business. Don't submit more than one URL for that business; don't submit it into more than one regional and one topical category. (Shopping or UK/Shopping count as topical; UK local categories local categories count as regional.)
