Site in google but not found in search.

Strange thing. The site is listed in the following category:
http://directory.google.com/Top/Bus..._Region/North_America/United_States/New_York/

BUT it is not showing up when searching for it by typing in a search.

Is this a normal thing to have happen?

Since I've no idea what you were searching for, I don't know. Search is very simple minded

It works for whiteplainsairport.com or White Plains Westchester County Airport

It will not work based on the contents of your site, oly on the ODP listing.
