status of: www.african-safari-vacations.net

Hi there,

please could I have the status of http://www.african-safari-vacations.net

I submitted the site on May 11th, to

http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Africa/Travel_and_Tourism/Travel_Services/Tour_Operators/

I did have a problem with the provider/host and had a few days downtime. I am worried now that it might have been in the queue when it was down.

I have a problem when I see that you have submitted this site for inclusion.

You also own http://www.safaris-botswana.com/ which currently has a listing in ODP.

http://www.safaris-botswana.com/ is effectively a site which is a set of pages underneath http://www.african-safari-vacations.net/ - that is you have information for one business entity spread over two [or more] URLS. and that only should get one ODP listing

So it seems to me you should get http://www.safaris-botswana.com/ removed and replaced with this site.

hmmm, I see your point. Yes, some of the initial pages are identical (so far) but the Botswana site offers a lot more information on specific lodges/camps etc in Botswana whereas the www.african-safari-vacations.net offers
safaris in southern African not just Botswana?
What do I do now?

I think the last line of bobrat's post can safely be called a "suggestion"...

not sure I understand what you mean?

I am actually more concerned about the Botswana site. If there is a conflict between the two sites offering the same, then I prefer to the Botswana site to stay in the directory (whichever category) and the site www.african-safari-vacations.net not to be listed at all. I have other sites offering safaris in African countries and there could be more conflicts with a site offering all these destinations in one site.

There is conflict as long as you are submitting any two of the sites. So Which one (of all of them) should be listed?

In this case please leave the http://www.safaris-botswana.com in the directory and do not list the african-safari-vacations.net site.
