Status of www.agriseek.com

I was wondering whether anyone could tell me the status of my submissions: www.agriseek.com
category: http://dmoz.org/Business/E-Commerce/Marketplaces/Agriculture/

I ask because according with the date at the bottom of the page and the number of sites listed in this category, the last update was 31 Jan 2003.

Is my site in unreviewed queue? If yes how many sites are in this queue and what is the position of www.agriseek.com

You're waiting in the queue along with over a dozen other sites. Your position in the queue really doesn't matter as editors can review sites in whatever order they choose. You're not the oldest submission but you're not the newest either.

You can inquire about the status again (in this thread, not a new one) in a month's time.

Having just had a really good look around your site, I have to say that I doubt that it will be listed since the marketplace is completely empty.

That is normal (to be empty) i think since is a new site. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> and I do not see why is less valuable for dmoz
than http://www.agritani.net/ (just listed and underconstruction !)
or duplicates like : www.CyberCrop.com and www.Farms.com

Oh! Almost forgot... "queue" vs "pool" is a pool or queue? with your explication "Your position in the queue really doesn't matter as editors can review sites in whatever order they choose." its a pool. You can send a site and start to play 6/49. If the site was piked you are lucky.

It's a queue. But it can be sorted per submission date, url, or title, and editors are not requested to follow any particular order when using one of these sorting options.

When the queue is long, some editors prefer to go with a quick scan to filter out spam and duplicates, and then proceed with a more in-depth review of the remaining sites.

Since editing time may vary from editor to editor and even the same editor may have more time available today and less time the next day/week/etc., guidelines-compliant titles and descriptions suggested by submitters and easy to navigate sites can also prompt some editors to review such sites first and leave other less navigable and harder-to review ones for the next round.

Actually, more than a 6/49 game it's "take your time to read the Guidelines, then submit content-rich sites, with Guidelines-compliant titles and descriptions, in the most appropriate category". This way you'll be sure that your site will be reviewed, and eventually listed, in the shortest time possible.

In the case of e-commerce, we distinguish between sites of businesses that offer their unique services (e-commerce) and sites that advertise services offered by someone else (e-marketing, A.K.A. spam.)

If a business would be a business without the website, then a website describing that business's products is "unique content".

If the website is the business, and there is no other website in the world that offers the same content, then it's "unique content."

If there is no business without the website, and other websites offer the same product, then it's not unique.
