Status of www.algarve-beach-life.com

Hello there!

I submitted my site to dmoz.org on 13th January 2004, according to my notes. I didn't log the exact category, but I'm pretty sure it would have been under:

http://www.dmoz.org/regional/portugal/districts/faro/travel-and-tourism

if only because every time I tried to use 'Regions' instead of 'Districts' I ended up back at the latter whether I wanted to or not.

By the bye, I did try to check up via this route a couple of months ago, but couldn't get all the way through the registration process...

Whatever, I've managed now, so would appreciate some news about my submission.

My first time here, so I hope I've followed all the rules and given the relevant information...

Sorry about that - I'm just so used to everything 'Net' being lower-case, that I didn't look properly.

It should have been:

http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Portugal/Districts/Faro/Travel_and_Tourism/

As I said in my first post, it's so long ago that I submitted, I can't be sure that was the exact category, but the system seems to take me back there every time, so I'm crossing my fingers that it's right. Judging by the other sites in that category, it should be OK.

Is there any way I can check its status again, or do I wait a month then ask again on this thread? (Otherwise, how do I know if it's in the directory - I understand the search system is a bit 'under the weather' at the moment).

You can always look at the category you submitted it to....

Other than that, and trying a google search of dmoz.org, you can ask again in this thread in a month.

Sorry, there's been no change in status: it's still awaiting review. We've increased the time between update requests. If you don't see it listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 25 December.

Thanks, Donwiebe. I hadn't noticed the change to the update period. Christmas here we come....
