Status of: www.alpha-matrix-design.co.uk

I can't actually remember how long ago I submitted it but I think it feels like well over month!

How come there's no automated submission status checker?

Edit...
It's so hard to work out which directory to submit to that I can't remember which one I ended up choosing!
Here's the probably ones:
http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Full_Service/A/
http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Suffolk/Ipswich/Business_and_Economy/Computers_and_Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/

Edit...
www.alpha-matrix-design.co.uk is the correct URL!

Ah yes, sorry again, I didn't exactly come in through the front door and missed a few 'before you post read this' links!

So which part of the east of england are you from leer, anywhere near Ipswich?

What else do you do aside from being a dmoz editor?

Your submission to [cat=Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Full_Service/A]Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers: Full Service: A[/cat] has been received and is awaiting review.

I ca'n't find a submission for that URL in the [cat]Regional/[/cat] category, and there is no record of it having been reviewed. Please feel free to resubmit the site to that category.

My data?

Is there any chance I can see my existing submission so that I can ensure I use the same text for the description etc on the submission to regional?

Shame there's not facility to edit our submissions if any details change while we wait for them to be reviewed, plus a flag showing us the status without the need to waste your time! ;)

There you go.
Offers professional web design and development services including analysis, design, production and maintenance, tailored to your time scale, budget, and priorities, with the emphasis on balancing usability, aesthetics and content.
Sadly, this fails to conform with our editorial guidlines and will be rewritten by the reviewing editor. Why not read them before resbmitting and be one of the very few whose descriptions are accepted verbatim.

You don't have a computer of your own :)?

Thanks, but now what!

When submitting I was looking for more help on what my description should be like and I did not come accross that page of guidelines (as far as I remember).
<side note>
Most users will blame themselves for not finding the information, but the site producers take at least half of the blame.
</side note>

Now I found it hard to be objective while differentiating myself from the masses of other sites. Furthermore I beleive my desciption as quoted by you fit's the guidlines you pointed me to:
http://dmoz.org/guidelines/describing.html#descriptions said:
...describe what the company does, focusing on it's products, services and specializations.

Oh wait I can see I say "to your ..." I should not have used a second person pronoun, but with such a tight character limit I was struggling with the phrasing already!
Is that the only problem with my desription or what else do you think the editor will need to change?

Erm, yes I have a sort of computery thing on my desk, will that do?
Now how can I edit (as in change the content) of my submission?

Or if there is no way for site owners to view and modify their submissions before they appear in the directory, would you also be so kind as to retrieve the title I used, and out of interest the date I submitted it?
