Is it possible please to check the status of a request for category change for www.aruba4u.com from

http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/New_Jersey/Localities/S/Stewartsville/Travel_and_Tourism/

to

http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Caribbean/Aruba/Travel_and_Tourism/Travel_Services/Travel_Agents/

Is it safe to say that it has not been looked at yet, in that a request was made to delete the site from the directory all together if the Category could not be changed?

Thank you once again for any assistance in getting my friend  of my back! So much for trying to do someone a favor...

Regional categories and their specific localities should only contain sites physically located within the locality.

Unless your 'brick and mortar' office has moved to Aruba, I doubt it will be listed there.

Thank you for your assistance. Okay, let me ask another question if possible. I was not sure whether it was proper to continue this thread or begin a new topic in the "submissions" discussion. Please forgive me if this is posted here in error.

The business sells hotel and hotel/air packages to Aruba and Aruba only. They are not an affliate travel service, they are a wholesaler and travel agent, in other words, they sell to both the general public and travel agents alike. The company books directly with the airlines and hotels in Aruba and then sells the package to a travel agent or individual. The business is "internet only", he does not advertise in any newspapers, but instead relies on "word of mouth", repeat business and his website.

The business does not have a physical presence. It is not a travel agent where you walk up to the store front and sit down and look at brochures etc. If a person wants to book a package or ask questions, you would either call them or email them. There are two people who work the phones and computer in NJ and one who works from Georgia. When the economy is bad and expenses need to be cut, the owner and his staff work out of his home. When times are good, he rents an office so he doesn't have to listen to his wife. The site is listed in:

http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/
United_States/New_Jersey/Localities/S/Stewartsville/
Travel_and_Tourism/

The category description it is currently listed in has a description of : " Includes area attractions & resources for those traveling in the region [New Jersey], including tourist guides."

The business has nothing to do with anything in NJ and sells only travel to Aruba. Could someone please suggest a category which is better suited to find this business in the directory?

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. Would you then just recommend removing the listing from the directory all together? The location of the present listing in the NJ sub-category has no relation to the business, where it's telephones are located or the service that the business is providing? They do not offer NJ travel guides, nor do they sell tourism in, around or near NJ.
Thank you for your patience and assisitance in this matter.

No.

The location of the present listing in the NJ sub-category has no relation to the business, where it's telephones are located or the service that the business is providing
Based upon the webmaster's/site owner's decision to provide the contact information given on http://www.aruba4u.com/contact.htm , why would it be irrelevant to the business?

They do not offer NJ travel guides, nor do they sell tourism in, around or near NJ
This was never a question. Regional sub-categories are to list businesses physically located in a certain locality, REGARDLESS of what they are selling, offering, or implying. Based upon the published contact information at
http://www.aruba4u.com/contact.htm the most relevant locality would be
http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/New_Jersey/Localities/H/Hackettstown/
