Status of www.bookinafrica.com

Our site www.bookinafrica.com was accepted into ODP about a year ago (under Tourism:Africa I think). Then the site disappeared from the ODP around December 2002. I resubmitted our site about a month ago but have heard nothing. Could somebody tell me what is happening?

We do not list affiliate sites according to our guidelines.

I had a look at the ODP’s submission guidelines you mentioned but feel we are not an affiliate site as defined therein. We are the online retail arm of African Rainbow Tours and are owned by them.

African Rainbow Tours has a corporate site listed in the ODP ( http://www.africanrainbow.com ). That site mainly provides corporate information. We also have partner sites that use BookInAfrica’s content and get paid on a per-sale basis (‘fraternal mirrors’ as per your guidelines) but we have been very careful to prevent these sites being listed in search engines and directories.

If we may only list one site then please remove http://www.africanrainbow.com and replace it with BookInAfrica’s original listing. If I recall correctly, I submitted both sites.
