I am not sure why you would submit the site to that category, anyway I can't find the site there.

Should I resubmit?

I thought that was the correct place to submit it to. Is there any way you can tell if I submitted it to another category?

Thank you very much.

Resubmitted

I just resubmitted it to the site you suggested and edited my initial post. Thank you very much for your help. Will it be read again, or should I delete that thread and post a new one.

Will I go to the "back of the line" again, to wait for possible inclusion?

I'm sorry, I know you're busy. Thank you for taking the time out to help a "cyber idiot"...lol

There is nothing for you to do.

I suggest that you bookmark this thread so that you can use it again if you want another status report, you do need to wait 1 month.

There is no real line to go the the back off as there is no particular order in which sites get reviewed. By submitting it to the correct category you have increased the chances of it being listed sooner rather than later.

C and C, I think johncotton just told you when you can ask for another status check in his last post. Did you read it?

No, we're quite firm on the wait time between status requests. We'd be swamped otherwise.

Since your last status request at least 20 of your multiple submissions have been found in several categories and deleted. It appears that one has been left for review, but I will expect that due to your spamming the directory, it will be reviewed with great care.

If you don't understand what I mean, then please read the submission guidelines that your were required to read when suggesting your site. http://www.dmoz.org/add.html to quote "Multiple submissions of the same or related sites may result in the exclusion and/or deletion of those and all affiliated sites."

Multiple submissions just make extra work for editors.

Please also note the new rules for this forum. Secondary status checks now require a six month wait. Please see
http://resource-zone.com/forum/announcement.php?f=22

You may ask in this thread after Dcember 12.

There's been a mistake

My web site is www.candcpromos.com and was listed in: http://dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_.../United_States/.
When I inquired about status, you stated that I submitted my listing in 20 categories. I don't understand. I did not submit it in any category except the one above. While I'm waiting for it to be listed, I bid on several search terms in Overture. Maybe that's it? Please don't think I did anything against Dmoz rules. I really want to be listed. I can't afford Overture.

Thank you.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's not you, maybe it's one of your employees. Possibly someone what wanted to see your site listed. Nevetheless, the submissions now total 23.

Several editors have looked at your site. The concessus seem to be that the site will not be included in ODP. [For your information, that decision was notmade becuase of the multiple submissions]

Possible reasons may be found in http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html#notinclude
