Thanks, can you tell how long it has been submitted for and when a resubmission might be acceptable ?

If a site has been received it is never acceptable to resubmit. If you do then the only person that can harm is you.

A review could be done tomorrow, next year or the year after, or the year after, there is no way of telling - it is the nature of the beast, sorry.

No problem, i like animals... How do you know when a review has been completed but turned down ? (I guess if it has been reviewed and accepted it turns up in the listing...) Is the only way to find out via this forum ?

Yes, once every six months, following the initial status check, you are allowed to get a follow-up check.

Just so you know, we are stickers about the six month rule. If oyu ask early your request will likely be ignored.
