status of www.entertainmentblitz.com

I've submitted it in many categories three weeks ago. Can
any one tell me the status, should I re-submit or just
wait ?

I submitted this site in these categories:
1. Arts-Directories
2. Arts-Directories-Artist Listings
3. Arts-Directories-Artist Resources
4. Arts-Directories-Artist Listings/E
5. Arts-Celebrities-Directories
6. Arts-Celebrities-Downloads-Wallpapers
7. Arts-Celebrities-Downloads
8. Arts-Celebrities-Image Galleries-Non Gender Specific
9. Arts-Movies-Directories
10.Arts-Movies-Multimedia
11.Arts-Performing Arts-Acting-Actors and Actresses-Directories

You didn't read somewhere that you should only submit to the most appropriate category, did you?
What is the most appropriate category for your site? All other submission should be deleted.

You should not resubmit in the near future, and definitely not to multiple categories, as this is likely to be considered spam.

If you want us to check your status, please provide clickable links to the categories where your submissions are waiting. DMOZ server is down right now, so it might take a while before we can check.

I am really sorry. I am barely new in url submission.
I always first read carefuly every category before I submit
the website. It seemed to me that the website fit in all
categories. Guess I was wrong.

If www.entertainmentblitz.com is about:
- collections of downloadable wallpapers, desktopthemes,
screensavers,hotbars,skins,winamps from famous celebrities
and movies.

what category that it fit in ?

Could you tell me how to delete submitted website ?
these are the links you asked for :
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Directories/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Directories/Artist_Listings/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Directories/Artists_Resources/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Celebrities/Directories/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Entertainment/Directories/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/Directories
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Celebrities/Downloads/Wallpaper/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Celebrities/Downloads/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Celebrities/Image_Galleries/Non-Gender_Specific/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/Multimedia
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Performing_Arts/Acting/Actors_and_Actresses/Directories/
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Directories/Artist_Listings/E

sorry for the mess

OK, thanks for the links. The server is unfortunately still down, so we can't do much right now.

Don't worry about deleting the submissions, we'll do that. The question is just to figure out what the most appropriate category is so that one of the submissions can be sent there for review. Just be patient until things are up and running again.

I thank you, but it seems fit all the categories.
Where I could get help?

With Dmoz down right now, we can't look in any of the categories right now but I'm sure someone will when Dmoz is back up. You can't delete excess submissions yourself but an editor will take care of that as they are reviewing the categories.

Your site looks like it is mostly affiliate links and links to ezthemes.com. Ezthemes themselves are already listed (in http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Desktop_Customization/Directories) so those links and the affiliate links don't constitute original content. It's entirely possible that you won't get listed. Have I missed something on your site?

Also, the auto-spawning popup windows multiply frequently enough that they interfere with browsing the site, making it that much harder to find unique content. Several times I had to click twice to navigate a link because one click was lost as a new pop-up window generated. As indicated by others, a pointer to areas of your site offering original content would be beneficial.

Yes, ezthemes is content provider of mostly www.entertainmentblitz.com content. The website it self is developing. I am new in website terms since I started from pc programming. One of my teammate is doing the other task while I am doing the submitting and designing the program.
I know nothing about ..affiliate link ? Is it something harm or what ?

Affialite Sites are sites that only link to other sites (i.e. a gateway) These sites are not usually listed in out directory.

It is OK to have links to other sites, as long as the site has content itself.

Thank you. In case, I still don't know if the website is considered as affiliate link or not because I saw a lot of similar site listed in dmoz long before I know what affiliate link is. In fact many of them have high popularity and highly rank constantly at many SE and website counter services. And one of them, is in Top 10!

Affiliate links are links to other sites where there is a referral id and profits are paid for referring a person to another site. Your site is what I would consider an affiliate, there are paid links to allposter.com, mp3dancer.com and amazon to name a few. In addition there are links to other sites that do not appear affiliate in nature. In order to qualify for a listing your site must contain unique content--of which your site does not have on it's own. Unique content is products or information not found on other sites, as yours is all links this is not present.

An affiliate link is a link to another site that contains a special code that tells the other site that the visitor came from your site. You then usually get paid a commission for each person who buys something from that other site. Examples of these would be the ebay, Amazon.com, and allposters links on your site. The other links (e.g. the ones to ezthemes.com) don't appear to be affiliates but you're only providing links to ezthemes, who are already listed appropriately.

I meant to explain the categories you chose in a previous post. Many of the categories you initially submitted to would be inappropriate for a site that only contains links to other sites since they are designed for sites that actually contain that particular content -- e.g. http://dmoz.org/Arts/Celebrities/Downloads/Wallpaper/ is for sites that actually contain celebrity wallpaper for you to download, http://dmoz.org/Arts/Celebrities/Image_Galleries/Non-Gender_Specific/ is for sites that actually contain image galleries of celebrities. Many of the other categories are for different types of information than you have on your site.

Well, it's nice to put a real person to the URL of someone who's been plaguing Arts/Movies, submitting every deeplink available on the site to multiple categories. At least tell the truth - you haven't just been submiting your site, you've submitted multiple deeplinks (5 at a time) to entertainmentblitz.com to both Arts/Movies/Directories and Arts/Movies/Multimedia once every three days for the past two weeks or so! That's called "spamming." Maybe you didn't realize that DMOZ.org is not a search engine and we don't index sites, so maybe you're not a spammer, but now you know - we won't list your deeplinks. You also submitted several sites to Arts/Movies/Titles for the relevant titles - which also did not get listed. I would rather list the actual originator of the content rather than some site indexing links to that content.

I reviewed your site and it does not qualify for inclusion, not in Arts/Movies anyway - check your server logs for a visitor from dmoz.org - I looked at it the very first day you submitted. I also looked at some of the deeplinks to see if they were any better, and they weren't. I searched high and low to justify listing you in Arts/Movies/Directories but any legitimate "directory-type" content I saw was obscured by affiliate links and overt links to adult sites. I also noticed that you're simply linking to content on sites that are already appropriately listed and provide such directories on their own.

PS: Edited to add: If you start providing more useful content than just deeplinks to content on other sites, your site will be listable in the one most appropriate category, which is Arts/Entertainment/Directories - that covers movies, music, video games, celebrities, and television. That's the single most appropriate category for your site - take a look at http://directory.google.com/Top/Arts/Entertainment/Directories/ - it's a slightly older version but the best I can do at this time since dmoz.org is down.

After all the inputs, I spent hours browsing the net, trying to learn something and be wise. It is true that I do need more useful content for the website, and I will ask my teammate about that. It was wasting my hours submitting efforts.

When I submit the newly developed website again in the future, in order not to be called 'plaguing spammer' again, , what should I do ? We couldn't just rely on guideline and hoping people will be just look like you, right ?

One thing still bugging me, it's about simillar sites which were listed already within the DMOZ, but I am afraid it is out of topic.

Bottom line, I thank you to everyone of you for your time and attention especially about categories advised.

kid - when you feel your site offers unique content useful to searchers, simply submit it to the Arts/Entertainment/Directories category indicated above - you may provide a link to this thread at the end of your submitted description, like this: [Note to editor: Please see this thread regarding our site: (URL goes here) ]

That way the reviewing editor (if he/she reads the thread) will know that your multiple submissions (which were noted down and logged for all future editors to see) were the result of inexperience rather than trying to abuse the directory.

Ok, 'I'LL BE BACK !' <-- quoted from Arnold S. (terminator).

What does deeplink mean anyway ?

From the Open Directory Editorial Guidelines:

"Deeplinking is the process of adding links to sub-pages and sub-domains within a site."
