Here is the category we are trying to get a listing for our site within: http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Internet/Commercial_Services/E-Commerce_Solutions/

It may look like we have waited for less than a month to get an update on this site listing but unfortunately this is not the case.

Please check my dmoz submission history:

Because resubmitting overwrites previous submissions, the only one we have is from July 27th. It is waiting for review in that category.

Hi - www.erol.co.uk is a different domain as pointed out by Iachenm.

www.erolonline.co.uk is what we are trying to get listed. Different site altogether - we are not trying to spam the system here we are just trying to cope with a new flagship domain for our website because of legacy software issues involving the old domain www.erol.co.uk.

Look forward to this review getting passed.
Thanks. NICK

We have a problem here.

You've chosen to spread your website over more than one domain name but that doen't entitle it to extra listings. As far as I can see, http://www.erol.co.uk/ is effectively a deeplink of http://www.erolonline.co.uk concentrating on its major product. It shouldn't be listed anywhere in ODP as the submission guidelines at http://dmoz.org/add.html make clear.

If they had been about disparate products (elephants and mustard) it might have been different.

Entirely coincidentally, I clarified the category charter earlier today and moved some of its listings elsewhere. Despite the fact that you're also selling hosting, the e-commerce category is fine for you IMHO.

Okay thanks for the feedback - there do seem to be quite a few violaters out there at the moment including our main competitor. Now I don't want to be picky here but we are working in a cut throat industry.

My original reason for trying to get a second dmoz directory listig was because when I made my original submission to dmoz for the url and directory listing to be changed at Computers/Software/Business/E-Commerce/Shopping_Carts/Windows/ but nothing happened.

It currently reads as www.erol.co.uk
Can we please please please please get this changed to www.erolonline.co.uk and the directory listing updated as follows:

Hopefully this will put us back in good standing with google again and may even replace our page ranks which disappeared due to a major site mod about 3 months ago.

Just once: No, that is not even in the same LANGUAGE as a guidelines-compliant title. It's pure keyword-stuffing.

It might look like keyword stuffing but pure and simply that title directly reflects the services and products we as a company provide.

I will read the guidelines once again and then resubmit a title that we have written which hopefully will be closer to the guidelines but still containing the essential nature of our business.

Thanks.

Let me help you.
The title should be the name of your company.
The discription should be about what your company is doing.

It just might. I can't imagine why the word "e-commerce" appears twice, spelled, hmm, two different ways.

It's keyword stuffing. Even the description is not allowed to be a company product list. And that title....Monty and all the little Pythons never came up with a sillier sounding "business name".
