Hi guys , i am just registered . I have been trying to submit my site http://www.featuredhost.com to DMOZ for the past 2-3 motnhs , but have not yet been succesfuly in getting it on. I had submited in category. ( http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Hosting/F/ )

would like to know about the status , faiure if any .

Your submissions of December and January are waiting for review in that category along with more than a hundred other sites. No need to resubmit; your site will be reviewed, but it may take some time. You may come back to this thread after one or two months and ask again, if you site hasn't been listed by then.

Actually, we do dance, too, but only in our internal Social Cafe Forum. PR is never invited, and bouncers make sure he won't slip in inadvertently.

A new thread was started here suggesting site was deleted. It was not, it is listed at http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/West_Bengal/Localities/Calcutta/Business_and_Economy/Internet/ and has not been removed.

The search section of DMOZ was last updated Search database last updated on: Wed Apr 9 18:50:58 PDT 2003. DMOZ is a directory and not a search engine. It is set to search via topics and not for key words which may be what the problem is. Other search engines, such as Google, use ODP data and will likely later (when updated) return different results when search terms are used.

thanks for pointinig this out , man . It is quite weird , that his particular link doesn't show on my Google Backlinks , although this was updated before . But in any case , since I am somewhere on DMOZ, it suits me fine , for the time being .
