Any chance of looking at www.get-booking.co.uk submitted to http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Travel_and_Tourism/

and if you had time www.get-shopping.com submitted to http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Directories/

First one is still waiting for review, the second one is not. Either you received an error message when submitting (or a timeout) or you submitted to another category.

Now why do I get the strange feeling that these are part of a large website spread over several domain names?

Please read http://dmoz.org/add.html and you'll find that we don't encourage that sort of thing.

Perhaps you could let us know the your level domain name. Something like http://get-everything.co.uk possibly. There might not be a problem listing that.

Nope I don't know why! I started get-booking because I'm interested in travel - been to 26 countries now. Then my girlfriend said that I should do shopping as she can never find the stuff she's looking for.

Are you telling me that I should only do one or the other?

But now you mention it get-everything.co.uk and get-everything.com is free - perhaps I should buy them?

I find it frustrating that all webmasters are tared with the same brush. We don't all have websites like get-cheap-low-cost-credit-cards-uk.com and we don't all cross link like crazy between sites we run or have an interest. We don't all have a masterplan to dominate the internet. Some of us are in it for fun or to make a bit of money doing or hobby.
