What is the status of:

I have submitted the site to http://dmoz.org/Games/Internet/Browser_Based/Collections/
But I don't remember when.

This site has been rejected due to legal issues surrounding sites providing Nintendo ROMs.

I suggest you contact staff@dmoz.org for further information, as this has been taken out of the editor's hands.

I don't provide NINTENDO ROMs, on my site there is only the title, size and image of each ROM. My visitors can't download it.

I'm sorry, but this is not something that the editors can influence - it was a staff decision. As this is a forum run by the editors, and not an official ODP forum, we can't give you the answers you need.

As I say, you will need to contact staff at the above address.

We might add, that the staff decision was based on some kind of agreement between AOL/TW lawyers and Nintendo lawyers (we don't know the details). This is really really something editors can't change.

I repeat that i don't provide NINTENDO ROMs, so i don't understand where is the problem.

You have a page called "Emulators and ROMs" which quite prominently features the Super Nintendo logos. You feature a download of an emulator of the Nintendo systems.

Because of threatened legal action by Nintendo, we were told to remove any sites that appeared to be related.

Staff can look at your case and review whether it is appropriate to include back in the directory, but without word from them, we will not be doing anything.

This weekend is a long holiday weekend in the United States, where the directory is based. Staff may or may not reply to you, but I'm sure anything you send will be reviewed.

I'm afraid that we can't help you, since none of us are legal experts. Your best bet is to go to Nintendo and ask them if your page is in compliance.

I've made some changes to my emulator page.
Now I think it's all legal.
- snes emulator not downloadable
- snes rom not downloadable
- no snes logo
There is only a list of snes rom with title, size and some pics.

I would strongly suggest that you take them off - this will remove all doubt about it, and make it less of a hassle for a reviewing editor to list. If you're not providing the ROMs, either for download or for purchase, what is the purpose of having them on the site in the first place?

The first purpose is to give to my visitors some info about ROMs, but I need them to increase traffic to my web site.

OK, that is your choice. Then please do not expect a listing in the ODP, as my understanding of the agreement between the ODP and Nintendo forbids us to list it.

No, what you are doing there is expressing your opinion on a legitimate product. My undertstanding is that the list of emulators which you have are illegal with respect to Nintendo's intellectual property.

However, this is just my understanding of this situation. Because of a directive from ODP staff, we are going to be very VERY careful about listing this type of site.

The best thing you can do it write to ODP staff and get them to review the site and see if it falls outside the agreement between the ODP and Nintendo.

I sent 2 email to staff@dmoz.org">staff@dmoz.org</a>, but after some days I receive this message:
"These recipients of your message have been processed by the mail server:
<a href="mailto:staff@dmoz.org; Failed; 4.4.7 (delivery time expired)".

I removed all not legal things
Please, help me. I don't know what to do !!!

Staff email has been flaky lately, for the same reason that editor applications haven't been working. I suggest you use http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/feedback.cgi? instead, which should still be working.
