I am sorry but we chose not to list your site as we have found the same content on other sites.

Can you please give me the specific URL(s) where you found the same content?

Your domain has a long history of being an affiliate site, and apparently it still is. The content is not unique to your site.

I respectfully disagree, yes we have about 50 site, but each site is individual and not an affiliate of another. If you claim that it is, can you please let me know the specific URL where contens are the same.

With regards to your business having 50 sites, the ODP will not list all of them. If you choose not to navigate between them, that is your own decision. If you have a main site, then suggest it. If it is compliant with the guidelines, then it might be listed.

I would recommend reading: http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html

Thanks for pointing the URL out to me. www.hotelscentral.com is only an umbrella site. If you notice that when you use the search engine, www.hotelsbrazil.com has it's own URL, i.e. its not an extension of hotelscentral (hotelscentral.com/hotelsbrazil). However if it violates the rules, I would like you to remove hotelscentral.com from DMOZ and then include all our country sites into DMOZ.

It doesn't matter what the domain looks like - it's the function that interests us. hotelsbrazil.com is part of hotelscentral.com; when I make a search for hotels it's immaterial if I enter the search terms at hotelscentral.com or hotelsbrazil.com as I get the same results, and if, from hotelsbrazil.com I choose another country I am redirected to another member of HotelsCentral.Com network, to quote verbatim frem your site.

Thus, it is the same site regardless of the differing URLs (it's easy to navigate between the different sites in the network anyway) and your subdomains will not get their own listings. Please don't submit any more of the country specific sites, as they will not be listed and all you do is create extra work for the editors with no gain for yourself. Thanks.

>www.hotelscentral.com is only an umbrella site. If you notice that when you use the search engine, ...
Huh? But, you see, we don't use the search engine.

>www.hotelsbrazil.com has it's own URL, i.e. its not an extension of hotelscentral (hotelscentral.com/hotelsbrazil).
This is absolute nonsense. What possible principal of logic or website design could a website from extending across multiple domains? And how could it possibly overrule the observed fact that MANY sites, including this one, have spread themselves out over multiple domains (often out of a misguided belief that it will help them in the search engines?)

>However if it violates the rules, I would like you to remove hotelscentral.com from DMOZ and then include all our country sites into DMOZ.
What you request is, as you can see by reading the submittal policies, the most serious violation you can commit, and the one that will cause you most damage. If you persist in this, we WILL remove hotelscentral.com, and (as the guidelines state) all other sites related either to it or to you.

We take this issue seriously. Don't try to push editors around on it. It WILL be counterproductive.
