The suggestion has been received and is awaiting a review.

Just a word of caution in advance. There is no need to submit any of the other sites belonging to or being used as a gateway to this company/service. I see a few dotted around. I am not saying you have or intended to submit them but this is more intended as a 'wisper in the ear'.

Thanks, we bought several entrance pages from a company called bowmac who promised us we would do well in the search engines, this was when we did not know too much about site optimisation, when we became aware that this was not good practice we removed all these pages. We also own inkmasters.com, inkmasters.net etc.. we have put permanant redirects on these sites and do not intend to submit any other pages pointing to www.inkmasters.co.uk, but thanks for the word of caution.

I was hoping you could clarify a couple of things for me. The reason for the first question is that I have just read one of your posts where you mention that all website's waiting review are not held in any date (submitted) order, in fact you refer to them as all being in a large pool, is this true? If it is then it leaves DMOZ wide open to abuse as shown bellow.

I would also like you to look into, or pass on the following.

The state of the category I am trying to get listed in:

And the fact that there are several websites listed that don’t exist anymore, have dead links, or are obvious entrance pages, I have included examples bellow:

1\ Oink-Oink - Cartridge, paper and refill product information with online purchasing and contact addresses.

2\ Inkspeed Printer Consumables - Online sales of inkjet and laser office supplies. Details of product range and ordering details. Based in Cumbria.

3\ Inkjets-r-us - Epson Stylus compatible Inkjet ink cartridges and CD writer media

4\ Inkjetathome - Sales of inkjet consumables and printer paper.

5\ Design Media Supplies Ltd - Supplier of inkjet media and compatible cartridges

And because you mentioned entrance pages in one of your previous replies I thought I should bring these to your attention:

"Inkjet Online - Provider of inkjet cartridges and refills, paper, CD-Rs and laser cartridges."

One of many entrance pages to this site that I have seen and a pretty obvious one I would of thought.

Here’s another one:

"Inkjet Cartridges UK - Inkjet and laser toner cartridges for most popular make and models of printers"

I SMELL A RAT. Its obvious to me we have one of our competitors editing this category.

I would be very interested in your comments as to why this category is in such a bad state and how can it be obviously abused so openly.

Although we have a dedicated thread for these types of reports I have dealt with items 1-5 and I thank you for bringing them to our attention. I should add that just because domains expire (and they expire on a daily basis) it is not editor abuse.

In all honesty it is a very spammy category and affiliates in this industry are ripe and it can take a very keen eye to spot them especially when there are so many sites already listed.

I may (and I am not making any promises) add this category to my list of needing a bit of TLC but I should add that from my own point of view the quality of the existing sites and listings will be considered before reviewing those site waiting.
