That's still right. It's waiting with a medium amount of other sites for review.

I just noticed in my log file that a Dmoz editor visited my site early today. My site does not seem to have been added so can I assume that my site has been rejected or might there be another reason for the visit?

There could have been any number of reasons why someone might have been looking at sites in that category. Your submission is still there waiting for review.

Yeah, but the most likely explanation for a visit is that you asked for a status report. And the best way to do this effectively pulls the site once through the ODP software. So most likely it was me who triggered that.
