OK, see you after 4/23, but in the meantime, maybe you can help me understand something.
When I look at your website (and I am not picking on you, tons of RE agents do the exact same thing) I am looking for unique content. Unique content is the mantra of the ODP, and is a requirement for a listing. I ask myself, what does this real estate website have that cannot be found on umpteen other Mesa real estate sites (and there are a ton of Mesa real estate web sites)?
So I go clicking on featured listings, because this is usually one area where an agent has spent some quality time, has an expanded description beyond the MLS stuff, and maybe has better pictures, a video or something else that is unique to the website. So what do I find -- 112 listings, and not a single one belongs to you. That means not a shread of unique content there. So I prowl the website some more, and beyond a very nice picture of you, a bit of biographical information that is mixed with a bunch of marketing chaff, and a new office address, I'll be dipped if I can find anything unique.
So why do real estate agents do this? Why do you (spelled all real estate agents) spend money on websites with content that is duplicated on 99% of all other websites? Is there some list of 19 things a real estate agent needs to be successful, and having a website is #12? Or are there some really good marketing companies out there who are able to convince real estate agents that having a website that essentially copies every other website out there is somehow a good thing? I just don't understand the logic. And please don't take my remarks personal -- the vast majority of real estate websites suffer from a profound lack of unique content. Any thoughts?
