Please advise on the submission status of www.lifeinitiatives.org to category http://www.dmoz.com/Society/Issues/Abortion/Pro-Life/Organizations/ (submitted on June 19, 2003). Thank you!

If the site was submitted in June, a later submission this month overwrote it. No harm done, but re-submitting didn't help either.

I have sent it over to Abortion Alternative Services for possible inclusion there.

The site was listed in http://dmoz.org/Health/Reproductive_Health/Clinics_and_Services/Abortion_Alternative_Services/ on August 4. If it's not showing up yet, it will once the public pages update (we don't know how soon that will be, but staff it working on it). It should be appearing in current and future RDFs, which are more important anyway.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to request submission to my original category request (instead of, or in addition to, our current cat listing) http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Issues/Abortion/Pro-Life/Organizations/ per thread entry #38397 (July 31, 2003). Would that be possible?

Being in our current category will allow people to find us in a search, which is important, but in order for people to most logically navigate to us via the directory itself, category http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Issues/Abortion/Pro-Life/Organizations/ would be best. (But I'm not trying to question your "unfettered editoral discretion.") Thank you!

There's a link in http://dmoz.org/Society/Issues/Abortion/Pro-Life/Organizations/ pointing to http://dmoz.org/Health/Reproductive_Health/Clinics_and_Services/Abortion_Alternative_Services/ , so people should be able to find you, even if they're not using search.

I don't know enough about abortion organizations to offer an opinion on which cat is more appropriate for this site (though I'm sure it won't be listed in both).

Also, the category http://www.dmoz.org/Health/Reproductive_Health/Clinics_and_Services/Abortion_Alternative_Services/ is definitely relevant; we do provide such services. However, that isn't all we do, so it is more narrow in scope than the breadth of services we provide. I'd be happy to explain in more detail, if desired, the different components of our organization.
