We consider this a rant, and rants are, in the best case for the forum member, just ignored.

So far no whatsoever evidence has been presented that this is the case. The proper channels to report abuse have been pointed out, and all reports filed are investigated. This is not an instant process, and the results are not communicated, although they may or may not be visible in the directory one day.
Bad links and content changes can also be reported, either within an abuse report, or in the thread I pointed out to you, or by using the 'Update URL' link in the category where the links can be found.
Now if you don't want to use any of these possibilities offered then don't complain that nothing is happening.
FYI, editors are volunteers, not unpaid servants to submitters, and inactivity is not abuse.

So far I haven't read anything about an ongoing application to become an editor. In case you mean the site status, it's 'awaiting review', not rejected.

Because the site we're talking about here hasn't been reviewed yet, therefore no whatsoever decision has been taken. That's not much of a suprise since the last submission is less than one week old.
There are more sites that should be listed in the genre
You're more than welcome to suggest them. Suggesting sites is open to everybody.
