The additional copy in Recreation/Models is presumably the one I submitted in May 2003, 13 months ago.

I must admit I initially thought Recreation/models was just a subset of shopping/recreation/models, but I see on a further study of the directories that it is not.

http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Recreation/Models/Cars/ seems most appropriate as the site has scale model cars for sale.

I am happy if the one in Recreation/models is deleted if this does not put the review date back even further.

13 months seems a very long time, but I get the distinct impression that DMOZ no longer cares whether its users get up to date lists of sites. Reviewing the posts on this thread shows a complete lack of understanding on the part of the editors. It almost seems to be a matter of pride not to answer the questions in an informative manner and if possible to repond by rejecting the question as improperly asked. If the principle of the customer comes first is right then DMOZ is on the road to oblivion.

For site designers it seems to be a catch 22 situation. You can submit your site but it will be ignored. You can apply to become an editor, but if you try to become an editor for a section where you have a site covered by the section you will be rejected as an editor. (Even if you are perfectly happy to review all awaiting sites in the section.) The chance is that you would like to become an editor because you are interested in the subject matter in that section, which is also why you have a site for that section. This however is irrelevant.

What a wonderful system!
