The reason is always the same. Insufficient unique information. This millenium, it's very hard to have "sufficient unique content" in a directory. It takes a LOT of work to build a directory worthwhile for surfers (who knows better than we do!)

And the bar is rising: rising faster, I believe, than one person can keep up with -- unless his work is very tightly focused.
