Thanks, I will give it another try in the category you suggested.

I am sure that it has been suggested before, wouldn't it be great if people could check on the status of sites they submitted themselves?

Thanks

It still has not been a full month since your last status check. You have another week to go. Please post back after the 10th for another check.

It has been 4 months since I first asked, asking in another 5 days won't make any difference so I guess I'll hopelessly ask again next month :(

Having had a quick look through similar categories to:
Arts: Visual Arts: Galleries: Virtual: Ethnic and Regional: Europe: British

I feel that the following category might be more appropriate:
Shopping: Visual Arts: Ethnic and Regional: European: British

www.minigallery.co.uk offers over 400 artworks for sale online, a further 800 for sale offline and a further 300 that are examples. The description for Arts: Visual Arts: Galleries: Virtual: Ethnic and Regional: Europe: British suggests submitting to the shopping directory if the site primarily offers prints or original works for sale.

Is there a long queue for this category and is it worthwhile trying to submit to instead of where it is queued now?

Our standard advice is that second thoughts are OK. If you're really convinced the other category is the right one, then go ahead and submit to it. If you're wrong -- one duplicate submittal doesn't a spammer make. If you're right, then the new submittal might actually be reviewed and listed while the old submittal is waiting to be moved to the right category.

Now, don't try to Peano-axiom this approach. If you submit twice, then have third thoughts... our FIRST thought will be less favorable.

I agree that the shopping category might be a better fit so I went ahead and added the site to that unreviewed. Actually I did the title and description already - a reviewing editor should be able process the submission quickly after they review the site - if they decide to list it.

You are also pending review in

http://dmoz.org/Arts/Visual_Arts/Galleries/Virtual/M

End the end you will only be listed in one category but that will be up to the reviewing editor.

Hello,

I recently submitted the contact form for whoever is in charge of the Top: Shopping: Visual Arts: Artists: S category. This is because a while back www.sempleart.com (currently listed in that category) was set to redirect to a sub folder of www.minigallery.co.uk - not the main website but an artist's profile.
I asked the editor to discontinue the listing of sempleart.com as it has a permanent redirect set to www.minigallery.co.uk/Hazel_Semple. The sempleart.com website is currently not in operation because the profile on www.minigallery.co.uk has replaced it etc.

I know you aren't able to reveal any information to me about if the listing for sempleart.com makes a difference, however, if it does and it speeds up the listing process for www.minigallery.co.uk just a little then it is worth mentioning it :)

How is the listing for www.minigallery.co.uk otherwise progressing?

Thanks

Chris Storey
