Hello,

I only recently found these forums, so I did not note exactly when I submitted my website, www.mybeads.com.au, to DMOZ. I believe it was more than a month ago, though.

I also did not note exactly where I placed it. I am sorry about this, however I am sure it was one of the following two:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Crafts/Supplies/Beading/

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Jewelry/Supplies/

If it has been rejected, do you think it would be better off placed in a regional area, as I am in Australia.

I can't comment on the suitability of the site in EITHER of the categories you mention, or give a status report, as I don't edit there. From a cursory look, it doesn't appear to be suitable for the Australia/Shopping cat, as you ship outside of Australia.

If you have an actual storefront in Brisbane, your site might also be suitable for a listing in the locality. (At least, that's how I understand the guidelines in regard United States locality listings. Australia may differ.)

Hi again,
Thanks for the input. It doesn't have a store front as yet, unfortunately, it is all online.

And about the shipping out of Australia, I think most online businesses here say that - there's no harm if they are willing to pay the postage

If someone who edits in the category could have a check on the status, I would really appreciated it

An experienced editor looked at your site a few days ago, and moved it to Regional/Oceania/Australia/Business_and_Economy/Shopping where it awaits review.

However it could be anywhere now, lol (read above!).
I got in my logs that a editor had been, lets just hope it is good news

We have changed our policy on submission check updates. We will now only do them every 6 months as explained here.
