How long before a decision is reached?

I know there must be load of sites to look at. But how long is usual?

It depends on the category, the editor, the number of sites waiting, and the general mood of the universe i.e. there is no usual, and no estimate.

For example, someone posted here in about a site. It just happened that yesterday, I reviewed it. A week ago, I wasn't even the editor for the category, Three days ago, I was the editor but could not have predicted I would decide to start editing in the particular sub-category. Two days ago, i would not have guaranteed to have completed editing that category within in any time frame.
