Hi
I have been trying to submit my site http://www.promdress.co.uk for almost a year. It was originally submitted to http://www.dmoz.org/Kids_and_Teens/Teen_Life/Proms/ . Although we don't sell from the site, we list retailers who do, and now feel that you would probably have reservations about listing it in the teens category. (Last submitted here 6 Nov 2004).
We therefore decided that the category http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Formal_Wear/Women's/ would be more suitable, and submitted the site here on 27 Nov 2004, and again on 18 Dec 2004.
I now have two questions:
1. Could you please let me know the status of my latest submission?
2. The name of my business is promdress.co, and that was the title I submitted to you. After reading through your 'title examples' page, I realise that I should have submitted the site title: Prom Dress UK. Is it possible for you to change the title on my submission, or do I have to start again from scratch?
Many thanks for your time.

I didn't look in that shopping category, because I looked at your site and you don't qualify for a listing there. To be listed in shopping you yourself must be selling something. Shopping listings must provide products, prices and a way to order them online from your site. As your site does not meet that criteria it cannot be listed there.

I cannot check the status of your submission to http://www.dmoz.org/Kids_and_Teens/Teen_Life/Proms/ because I do not have permissions in kids and teens. I'm going to go ahead and move this thread to that forum so that someone who is able to do so can. :)

This site is waiting for review in the Kids and Teens category that you submitted it to. I wouldn't worry too much about the title. The reviewing editor will use the title that is on your site. If I was reviewing this site right now I might use "promdress.co.uk" instead of what you have in your title tag, "Prom Dress UK", but that's just me. You should probably make it crystal clear on your site if you expect the editor to use "Prom Dress UK."
