Hi,
I submitted this to Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Buckinghamshire/High_Wycombe/Business_and_Economy/Industries in February 2004 and still cannot see it in there. Any news.

In April I also submitted it to Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Clothing/Childrenswear and Shopping/Children/Baby/Blankets_and_Bedding
which was relevant.

Would this have been considered spamming and hence been rejected.

The submission to Shopping/ was declined, but the other two submissions are still awaiting review. If you don't see the site listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 21 February.

Thanks for the update.
I don't suppose theres any reason why it was rejected for shopping - it has an ecommerce bit - just so I know for the future. If not, no worries.

Andy, I do not have editing rights in shopping, but I did take a quick look at your site. When you submitted in Feb. did you read the description of the shopping category you submitted to, and was your shopping cart in place, prices shown, etc. at that time or have you added some of the necessary requirements, since then?

Hi, thanks for your time - yes, the site was up and running last September. I usually read the criteria - and usually see what other sites are listed as a good guide. :)

Andy, I am a newbie editor and do not have editing rights in shopping, so I cannot be of much help to you. I did do a little searching around, though, and I found that the very top level shopping category gives an awful lot more information about what is acceptable in shopping than the sub-categories do. I did not read it all, but I learned some things I did not know, so maybe you can find the reason your site is not eligible for Shopping. Read both the description and the FAQ's here.

Now, I did not take a real close look at your site, but I do know that in order to qualify for a Regional listing you have to submit to the actual locality where your business is and it needs to be evident on the site. Hope this helps a little.

If you start shipping outside your regional area you can resubmit there though. I would just make a note of it in the description section of the submission. :)
