You won't hear anything, ever, from a site submittal (and almost never from a letter to the editor.) If you want communications with editors, the forum is about the only way (because it's the only way that's safe for us.)

Question

It says though that in the category that I submitted to that there is no current editor for that category. Does that mean that it' s not likely for me to get submitted ever or at least for a very long time?

The vast majority of reviews of sites are in non-current-category-editors, so no, it does not mean that.

We don't know, we can't know, how long any particular site will take. All we know is, several thousand sites are reviewed daily.

Status Update Please TouchdownSkills.com

I submitted TouchdownSkills.com over 5 months ago. I know you get thousands of submissions a day but I have another site I submitted that got listed in your directory in just one month. Is there any way of knowing what's going on?

I don't know if my site's been rejected, lost or what...Is there anything I can do to know where I stand?

AHA! Now we've got THAT message across: we don't know how long a submittal will wait for review, because they don't all wait the same amount of time. Some are reviewed quickly. Some had already been reviewed before they were submitted. And some wait for years. We don't know which are which, until the review happens.

EXACTLY! No, there's not. Ever. Not for anyone: not for you, not for us, not for AOL staff, not for the president of AOL/TW.

But, if you want to know if anything has happened to your site, you're welcome to bump this thread in six months.
