Hi there,

Thank you for your timely respose. Can you tell me if the site was rejected due to its content or due to inappropriate category placement please? (I realized after submitting it that the http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Guides_and_Directories/Local_Directories/ category might be more appropriate, but did not want to submit to a second category as discouraged in the guidelines.

Thank you again for you timely response. This is my final question. I accept the editor's decision not to include this site and I realize that this forum is not for debating that decision.

However, as I am adding to it all the time, can I resubmit the site at a future date if I believe its content has changed significantly for the better?

Thanks,

Jason

Completely at random - http://www.ukcities.co.uk/Bath/Art_and_Culture/Art_Galleries_and_Dealers/ has nothing to do with Bath. If all the other categories are the same (though if the first one I looked at as an editor was like that I wouldn't bother looking at a second) then to make it listable you basically have to scrap the whole lot, build it up with quality, relevant content, and convince us it is better than anything else we currently list of the same type. The chances are extremely slim. But don't model your site/business around making it listable in DMOZ, such a strategy is virtually certain to be doomed from the start.

Bath Art Galleries and Dealers --> Art gallery toronto - findabuilding.co.uk - Buildings --> Cheap Toronto Hotels

That's really usefull

[Unless Toronto just shifted to the UK because of recent earthquakes, and the cheap hotels in Toronto now have fine art]
