What is the difference between the content on your site and the content on http://www.vitacost.com ? I'm sure you know perfectly well that dmoz doesn't accept sites with absolutely no unique content. Also, if you'd read the guidelines here you'd know that you need to leave a little more than two days before asking for submission status.

Re: Status of www.vitamin-world.org

???? I looked at the website you posted (vitacost.com). They're content isn't even remotely close to ours. They're selling vitamins. My site is *about* vitamins (benefits, food sources, health facts, etc). I'm confused about how you came to that conclusion?!!

As for the waiting, I asked since I got a timeout error while submitting the website -- so I wasn't sure if it went through.

Sorry for any inconvinience my asking might have caused.

Best Wishes,
Nick

This statement is blatantly false. Your content is copied directly, word for word, from theirs. You, or someone who knows how to use a web browser, can easily verify the fact by actually reading the descriptions of your choice of chemical.

I won't prejudge whether you simply were so ignorant of the website contents that you didn't know this, or simply so arrogant that you thought editors couldn't figure it out. (It doesn't matter: the ODP is not the keeper of your personal reputation. But YOU have your work cut out for you.)

I recommend that you consult a lawyer on your liability for copyright violations. If you didn't know about the wholesale copying (and again, I'm not going to judge -- that matter is between you and the developer), then you know now. And THAT matter is between you and the person whose copyright you violated.

As for ODP submittals, the site's content will need to be completely redone, from the ground up, before it can be submitted again. And the usual advice for people caught spamming applies: if you submit the site again, it may well get rejected out-of-hand for its past reputation unless you come to this forum and get a full new review with all the history on the table, and the new content demonstrably present.
