Status of www.webidentity.com.au

Hi,

I submitted www.webidentity.com.au to the following category about a month or more ago and it hasnt appeared as yet.

The specific category is http://dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/Australia/Business_and_Economy/Internet/Web_Hosting/

I have tried contacting the editor (wolfweb) who also appears to run a similar company to myne but he/she hasnt replied.

I see from your submission that you have offices in Perth and Brisbane. I'd recommend that you actually put that location information on the site somewhere (right now you just have form and email contacts that are pretty non-location-specific), preferably in the form of snail mail addresses. Lack of an address can slow down your review in Regional.

Editors rarely reply to emails from submitters, especially when it's only been a month since you submitted. Your site is waiting in the queue of that category. You can come back to this thread in a month or more to ask for a status update.

Thanks for your help. We are in the process of updating the page now and it will include those details. My main concern is that the editor may not want to list my site as we are in competetion with him.

Don't worry about that. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> An editor who adversely affects the listing of his/her competitors wouldn't be an editor very long. It isn't a very actively edited category, though, so don't expect to be listed immediately (it may take a couple of months). You can come back here in a month to check in again.

I can give you a status report, no one here can push your site along faster however--as that would be like pushing you to the front of the line and would not be fair to the other sites patiently waiting.

Your submission from 01/Mar/2003 00:39:01 MST is still waiting in that category with under 50 other sites.
