Dear Editor:
I have read your post and have one question regarding websites listed selling self defense items that are listed.
Would some pages on my personal expertise in self defense along with a "self defense newsletter" or weekly tips then change it from falling under fraternal affilliate site? I have over 33yrs tenure as a Marine Viet Nam vet and 30 of those years as a certified self defense instructor having several schools below me where I do seminars on women's self defense, threat assessment and response, self defense applications and have had members of the law enforcement community as students. Perhaps this would add new and exciting content for visitors than just the products and copied descriptions. I did use a nice layout to avoid this but I will continue to improve it in these particular ways. Would this help?
Respectfully,
ronin

In terms of these kinds of shopping sites, no, it wouldn't. For a Shopping listing, the shopping content is what counts and, regardless of any other items you add to it, your current shopping content isn't listable.

Now you could create a nice, informational, completely separate site for your tips, instructional information, school details, etc., and that might get listed in a Sports category...but not if it contains a ton of links to your personal safety shopping site.
