Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can lookup and check the approval status for:

www.ebroadcast.com.au/tv

It was submited about a year ago to the Television schedules/guide section, but no response. I recently resubmited about a month ago, and no word yet.

We are Australia's number 1 online TV guide, launched in 1994, yet have never been included in the Dmoz directory.

Are the editors still active in this category? Any insight into it's status would be appreciated.

It's waiting to be reviewed in Regional/Oceania/Australia/News_and_Media/Television/Programs

However, there are some other issues I need to check. Did you take over this site from someone else, or change the content in the last year?

Hi Bob,

Yes, the site replaced an old site called www.sofcom.com.au/tv in 2002 (we purchased the company and renamed www.ebroadcast.com.au/tv).

However, the content has not changed. It is still Australia's number 1 online TV Guide.

I am not sure whether the old name was listed with Dmoz.org, or not (I just did a quick search and it appears not to exist in the current Dmoz database).

We submitted the new site and new url quite a long time ago, without a response or entry to the directory.

I'm afraid that the site cannot be listed in its present form, as it does not comply fully with the Open Directory license. The site uses a copy of the Open Directory at http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/search/ with links back to the dmoz.org base URL, but not links back to each category.

Hi Jean,

Thank you for your feedback.

The pages in question at http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/search/ have now been modified from it's current form to include the links back to each Dmoz.org category, as requested.

Hopefully this should assist the approval of www.ebroadcast.com.au/tv as per our original submission. Do we require any further action on our part?

That was fast! Thank you. I will now remove the block on listing the site. It can then be reviewed in the normal way by an editor in Regional ... Australia.

When six months from March 20 (the date you were told that it had been put back in the submission pool) has elapsed we can tell you, but not before.
