Please let me know the status of http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nrhills

Hello,
I first submitted my website back in August of 2003, but have failed to get it showing up on any search engines. I did the bulk of the site, including the text, in Photoshop, so the text is not in html and is thus not searchable, but I had the introduction page done in html and had the key words put in as 'metatags' so I thought this introduction page should be readable by search engines. Could you please advise me how I can get my site noticed by the search engines?
Best wishes,
hillow

No, that's really off-topic for this forum. But there are many search engine results positioning forums where people will tell you things...don't believe everything too quickly, though.

Thank you for your response. I was wondering if the unorthodox method by which my website has been created (as described in my previous message), would hinder its inclusion into the ODP?

How could we know how the website was created until we reviewed it?

I should mention, though, yours is not the first site I've seen that was done that way. I don't always have access to a fast internet connection, so that's the kind of thing that is likely to cause me to think, "I'll set this aside for a rainy day. Come to think of it, that Noah dude was saying something about a long wet spell sometime next century...."

So, yes, anything that interferes with a surfer's quick access to a representative sampling of the site's contents may well defer a review that might have otherwise happened.

Thank you for filling me in - I'm afraid the mysteries of the inner workings of the internet are, as you can probably tell, something of a mystery to me.
Best wishes,
