Status request for www.tagdr.com

I submitted this site to http://www.dmoz.org/Recreation/Collecting/Themes/Transportation/Automobiles/License_Plates/ back in August and have still have not seen it listed.
Unfortunately, I was not aware of the fact that it would be moved to the bottom of the list if it is resubmitted, which I just did a few days ago.

Can you tell me if it was rejected or if there is just no editor for that category?

Your site has not been rejected; it's still waiting for review with a very small number of other sites. The next time somebody comes by to edit in the category s/he will very likely deal with your site. (Of course there is no way of telling when that will be, though!)

Emailing in itself isn't inappropriate as long as the contents of the email are not but you should know that editors are not encouraged to respond to email from submitters, as some editors have had very bad experiences of that. So it would depend on that individual editor whether you'd get a reply or not.
