Greetings. On 4/11/03 I submitted a request to move
http://www.rush-creek.com from the http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Wisconsin/Localities/S/Spring_Green/ category to the more appropriate http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Guns/Shooting/Shooting_Preserves/ category. I also requested that the description of the site be changed to something more specific and accurate. The request was submitted via the "update URL" form as neither category appears to have an active editor. I would greatly appreciate if someone could check on the status of this request. If I did not submit the request in an appropriate fashion please except my sincerest apologies and inform me as to how I should proceed. I did read all documentation available at dmoz.org but perhaps I overlooked something. Thank you in advance!

It's highly doubtful that the site will be moved out from the Regional category as the site is appropriate for the Regional category.

If you feel that the site warrants a Topical listing as well (I'm not familiar with the cat because quite frankly the thought of killing animals for fun sickens me), you can submit it to the Recreation category. Please be aware that the editors will most likely completely strip any hype-filled/keyword stuffed description that you submit, so you'd be wise to copy the Regional description and use a slightly amended version for the Rec/ submission.

According to the FAQ located at http://dmoz.org/help/cats.html#regional "A site is listed in a Regional branch when it provides information about a specific region, and/or when it is directly relevant to a population within a specific geographic area." Rush-creek.com provides content specific to a form of recreation...not regional specific or geographically relevant content. Per your suggestion I will re-submit to the topical category as it is obviously a much more appropriate placement.

As an aside, I don't condone any form of killing...whether it be for recreational purposes or not. But, I also don't take advantage of every possible opportunity to get on my soap box either.

Thank you for your time.
