I submitted my site:

Date: Mon. Dec. 9, 2002

To this category:

There is no editor in the category I submitted to. However there is one 3 levels up (Clothing). I assume this category is heavily congested with submissions. Is it possible to find out when the category I submitted to was last checked so I have an idea when the category I submitted to will be reviewed?

There are less than 75 sites awaiting review in that category. If you look at the bottom of the page you will see "Last update: 9:30 PT, Wednesday, January 8, 2003" which reflects the time that category page was last updated. Pages can be updated because a site is added to that category, removed from that category, a @link added/removed/changed, "Related categories" added/changed/removed, new category FAQs or descriptions added, new "Foreign Languages" links added, site descriptions changed etc etc - hence the "last update" date doesn't necessarily mean other sites were reviewed.

I take it you have also submitted to the appropriate Toronto category (which, I'm guessing, is probably this one).

I only submitted to the category I specified. If I were to submit to the category you mentioned, will my current submission be removed, or is it possible to have 2 listings? If it's okay to have 2 listings, does the description have to be identical?

Yes and no.

Yes, you can have two listings (once in Regional and once elsewhere), and no, the descriptions don't have to be the same. In fact, when submitting to the Regional category please don't mention that you're mentioned in Toronto, as all sites in that category are in Toronto.
