That site leaves a lot to be desired. How about fleshing it out so it actually appears to be used and useful before asking ODP to list it? Right now the site gives me the impression that you crave PageRank so you can sell ads to whoever will buy.

i have no wish to sell ads what so ever (google adsense is hardly trying to get ads rarely anyone clicks the links)...of course like anyone i would like to get some sort of page rank so that i can get traffic to my site

i find that only this being my first site and reading alot of how to get search engines to visit you more is to register here which i believe any web site owner would want.

having 12 registered members hardly looks like im trying to sell ad space ...all im trying to do is get people to visit the site......

i dont see your comments as very agood criticism at all....everyone has to start some where and as i believe it can take anything up to 2 years to get registered why would anyone wait till there site was really active in a couple of years before registering.

Well, submitting here is fine so far as it goes, but OUR submittal policy says, "get the site developed first." That means (for a forum) build an active community; (for a classified ads site) get a lot of ads to classify; (for an e-zine) have multiple issues ready to review ... and so on. Otherwise, WE serve OUR customers better by directing them away from the nascent site towards sites with more content.

Yes, I know it's a "weave your own bootstraps, then pull yourself up by them" situation. But we're not bootstrap marketers!

That is, we're not in the website promotion business. We're in the content indexing business, which is a very different thing.

my apoligise if i over stepped the mark in any way....it was to the issue that i am using this to get people to pay me ads i recieve no income from any other site (including google adsense) and have no wish to make money from ads i just want to build a site that helps people....

I will quite happily wait for my site to be admitted for how ever long you feel it needs.....i am not here to use it as a jump up...even if it sounds like i am...

hi i was asked to wait 3 weeks, so i thought 3 months would be ok.....and sadly as of yet i know it isnt listed and hasn't been looked at, so i guess i shall respond again in 2007 lol...
