Hi

I submitted www.mikewellerinteriors.co.uk in March/April but i cannot remember which region or category i submitted it under.

If i had to guess it would be http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Surrey/

I wondered if I could check its status? Is this possbile without the submission information? I appreciate you usually like this provided.

It is not waiting for review in that category. Nor is there any evidence that it has been moved from that category by an editor!

I checked the B&E subcat and found that it is waiting there.

By the way. Your site says the business is in Mytchett, Camberley? However on my map - Mytchett seems to be a part of Farnborough rather than Camberley. Which is correct?

Mychett to me appears only to have Camberley as its post town and it 'may' justify its own sparkling new category as there are plenty of other sites that appear they would fit into such a new cat.

Of course ultimately this is an internal matter needing more research but if you have any input on Mychett I am sure that it would be appreciated.

The actual postal address of the business is
74 Mytchett Road, Mytchett, Camberley.

Mytchett is actually closer to Farnborough, but the dominant town in the area is Camberely - as indicated by the postal address.

Most businesses will drive their desired categorisation by the postal address.

That may be true however as we list by locality we have found that using a UK postal address within the ODP can prove very deceiving to the user for just this very reason.

If a resident of Camberley was looking for a business in Camberley it would be no use to them for us to provide them with sites that may be between 0 and upto 20-30 odd miles away thus leaving the user having to sort through them again even though we should have categorised them by locality already. We have found that using postal addresses for categorisation is very unreliable especially as post towns can indeed often be quite a distance from the true locality. I am about 20 miles from my post town but only 1 mile from the neigbouring postal town. It would serve the use better to have my own village as its own locality in its own right (if their was enough sites)alongside both towns.
