Additional Question:
If a category says "Volunteer to Edit This Category", does it mean there is no editor there to review sites? Just curious if that is why I haven't been listed.

No category is without an editor, while many do not have a named editor. Editors higher in the tree can edit cats that are in a straight line below them, and more than 200 editors can edit any place their warm little hearts urge them to go.

Someone with appropraite permissions will give you a status.
