I've posted an updated description over a month ago, can you please let me know where it stands?

Awaiting review with over 150 sites. As an aside, your description doesn't even come close to meeting our guidelines -- it's just a list of (capitalized) keywords. I can guarantee that it will not be accepted as submitted. However, the current description isn't up to current standards either, so I left your request in the queue for another editor with more experience in that area to review.

Should I re-post an new description then?

That's entirely up to you, since an editor should look at the current description and re-review the site when they see your request. However, an editor might be even more likely to make that effort if your description was closer to our guidelines and less keyword-stuffed. With a better description, you might also find that the editor included more of what was important to you, because it was more clear to them. Of course it also might not change anything at all about what the editor does.

If you decide to resubmit, you might first want to have a look at http://dmoz.org/guidelines/describing.html#descriptions . Briefly, a description should concisely describe the company and the site contents. It shouldn't be stuffed with keywords, and it shouldn't use unnecessary capital letters.
