You were absolutely correct in submitting the update.
Editor dfy was referring to the current description and the one in the update request not following the guidelines currently set forth in the
ODP Editing Style Guidelines. Things like putting the company name in the description or using promotional language (e.g. calling a company a "leading" provider) are generally frowned upon. Also, descriptions should highlight the actual contents of the site, not just describe the business.
However, we don't expect submitters to write perfect descriptions (though the better a submitted description is, the more likely an editor will understand what is important to include). In my experience, almost no submitted descriptions are actually guidelines-compliant. Even most editors take a while to learn the guidelines. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" /> You did nothing wrong, and an editor with experience in that area of the directory will process your update request, editing your description to make it compliant.
