Hi,
I submitted the site www.aris-titanium.com to the category Shopping: Jewelry on December 28, 2002. I would like to know what is the status of this submission. Thanks for your help.

The site is still waiting for review in Shopping: Jewelry. However, sites will not be listed at this level any more. What do you think would be the most specific subcategory? Perhaps Shopping: Jewelry: Varied Merchandise: A?

Actually, it appears you have been very busy submitting to numerous subcats in that area. Your site was moved to Shopping/Jewelry/Handcrafted/Precious_Metals from Shopping/Jewelry/Handcrafted/ where it was deleted because the site was a dead link when checked (I see it is working now). It appears there is still one waiting in handcrafted (other duplicates have been deleted), but I don't think your site qualifies as handcrafted. To be handcrafted the products must be "handcrafted by the individual site owner artist/designer" and not by several individuals working in a company. I see no reference to a specific designer doing all the work, so my guess is that your site actually belongs in http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Jewelry/Precious_Metals/ where I believe it will be moved once reviewed and then the site will end up waiting again.

I have not confirmed that another copy is waiting in Shopping/Jewelry/Handcrafted as the queue is quite large and my son just woke up so I am out of time (it is still loading). I don't think it matters, however, I would suggest submitting to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Jewelry/Precious_Metals/ and then submitting no more as there are enough submissions that it is going to start looking like spam. <img src="/images/icons/tongue.gif" alt="" />

uzs980 beat my post <img src="/images/icons/cool.gif" alt="" /> ! I wouldn't suggest the varied merchandise cat (which I just implemented) as your site is more metal specific from what I see and not offering a bunch of different gems, etc.

It seems you didn't submit to Shopping: Jewelry: Precious Metals. No submission to that category is waiting for review, neither was one rejected or moved to another category.

But I have found your old submission of December 28th, 2002 in Shopping: Jewelry. I have just moved it to the Precious Metals subcategory, so it is now waiting for review there.

It has been a while since this site was moved to the precious metals category (as discussed in the thread above). Is there any more information about the status of this submission.

It looks like for some reason the submission disappeared. I added it back to the unreviewed area so the submission is once again pending review.

I was wondering if there is any progress on getting this site included, it's been a long saga! I hope it is at least still on the waiting list (if you see the above posts, it even disappeared once!). Any information about the status would be appreciated.

It's not waiting in that category, presumably for the same reason. It looks like it is waiting somewhere else in the Shopping/Jewelry tree - did you submit to another category?

it seems to be lost, can we resubmit or is it possible to find it. I dont want to be penalized, but it seems that this submission is getting nowwhere after more than one year of trying. What is your advice.

I'm unable to load all the unreviewed in Shopping/Jewelry, but you are waiting at least in http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Jewelry/Handcrafted/Metalsmiths (submission from TODAY) and http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Jewelry/Handcrafted/Wedding. PLEASE stop submitting your site; for every new category you submit to, the risk increases that the site will get removed inadvertently by an editor removing large volumes of duplicate submissions.

Please note it can take alot longer than a year. Shopping/Jewelry is backed up. I just went through and reorganized the non-handcrafted wedding jewelry sites and I listed alot of sites but not all of them. Patience is going to have to be a virtue here. However, please do not resubmit. Resubmitting will not facilitate the review process rather as nea says it might mess you up.
