The below is taken from the DMOZ lodging submission:
AAA classifies a Bed and Breakfast as a limited service lodging type with the following definition; "Usually smaller establishments emphasizing a more personal relationship between operators and guests, leading to an "at home" feeling. Guest units tend to be individualally decorated. Rooms may not include some modern amenities such as television and telephones, and may have a shared bathroom. Usually owner-operated, with a common room or parlor, separate from the innkeeper's living quarters, where guests and operators can interact during evening and breakfast hours. Evening office closures are normal. A continental or full, hot breakfast is served and is included in the room rate." (Quoted from the AAA. "New York TourBook". Buffalo, NY: AAA Publishing. 1999)
Cabin accommodations are typically smaller buildings of simple construction in remote locations. They usually have their own cooking facilities.
Our facility is owner operated. We live on the premises and offer an intimate "at home" feeling. We interact with our guests and serve a continental breakfast. There also is a common deck area that's attached to our house where guests gather for conversations with owners and other guests. Each cabin is individually decorated to give the guests a cozy and romantic lodging experience. We call them cabins rather than cottages because we are in TEXAS!
Some months ago I submitted a change form with an explanation to the editor.
I never received a response so I decided to check the status of that submission in this forum.
I felt submitting a second change form would be in voilation of DMOZ guidelines.
Are you able to check the status of a change forms?
Currently, the sub-category for bed and breakfast doesn't have an editor. Therefore, I'm clueless where I should go from here.
Any advice you can offer is appreciated.
