Curious as to the status of www.buyermagnet.com.

I *think* I first submitted this past April or May, but I had to reboot my computer so I lost my submit date. I re-submitted June 13 to be sure.

Can you tell me the original submission date, and approximate time until review.

Thank you,
Frank

We ca'n't tell you anything about the submission unless you give us a clickable link to the category into which it was submitted.

However, on the general subject on review times: since all our editors are volunteers and are not obligated to edit in any particular place or for any particular length of time, it's impossible for us to estimate the time to review of any given submission. See the FAQ for more details.

The delay you are seeing is because your last submission was June 13, so editors are probably waiting until after July 13 to give you your status check, since the forum rules require that you wait 30 days past your latest submission before requesting a status check.

You might want to wait until that date and then return to this thread and "bump" it by making another post. That will move it to the top of the heap and an editor will address your question.

Thank You

Thanks... I couldn't remember if I submitted it back in April or May (when I launched my site), so I went and resubmitted (or submitted). Either way, now I know - especially since I found this forum - it will help me keep track of my submission, and future submissions.

Great forum - thanks to all moderators and editors who support it!

Please Bump

Please bump for status request.

Incidentally, it appears that my category editor, "macintack," is no longer an editor with the ODP. Just thought I'd point that out so you can change the category's editor status to "volunteer."

An editor found another submission for that same URL elsewhere in another subcategory of [cat=Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/]Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers[/cat] and deleted the submission in Real Estate in favour of the other one.

What is your suggestion at this point. Do I need to submit as "new" to this category again?

Thanks for your time and reply.

I need to know what's going on with my submission.

Submitted June 13 to Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Real_Estate/

Checked backed after 30 days and told it's already in another subcategory under: Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/

I can't find my URL in any subcategory but whatever the case, it needs to be listed under: /Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Real_Estate/

Can someplese please tell me what to do at this point, as I can't find an answer to my situation in the FAQ's.

Thanks,
Frank

In that case, you probably shouldn't have made another submission to a different category. But, don't worry about it: I've moved the other submission back to the Real Estate category. The submission is once again there, waiting for review.

Part of this confusion might have been aleviated had you reused your original thread, per the guidelines, instead of starting a new one for this URL. So, when you return for a status update six months hence, please post your request in this thread.

Thanks for checking into and correcting/updating it.

I honestly don't remember submitting it to any other category but while weed-wackin' the yard this morning, I thought about it and I believe my URL may have been submitted by "Submit-It" when I signed-up for their service many moons ago. Anyway, thanks again and I'll bookmark this thread if needed for further inquiries.

Best regards and a tip-o-the-hat to you, donwiebe-obi-wan-kenobi :star:

Submission Status www.buyermagnet.com

Hello:

This December 6th will be 6 months since my original submission of buyermagnet.com -- just following up to see if it's still waiting for review.

Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Real_Estate/

I noticed that when I enter my URL into google's search, it appears that google crawled my site Nov 22, 2004 06:26:27 GMT. It that the same as being listed?

Thank you,
Frank Biganski

Well, then post on December 7th [edit] correction: January 22nd - (see next post) [/edit] or any time after that. By the time next your 6 month anniversary rolls around this thread will have sunk quite a few pages. I doubt any of our editors will look at it.

No, it's not the same thing. Maybe you've been listed and they crawled you from dmoz. (You can check that yourself.) Or maybe they found a link to your site from any of the other millions of pages that they crawl.

Please wait until at least six months after the LAST STATUS REQUEST (per forum policy).

Aside: lots of people seem to read their future in their internet logs. I don't believe in it, myself. I'd suggest sticking with the traditional methods, like counting south-south-west-flying crows; and striving for the traditional results, like stunned surprise at the vagaries of a creative Fate.
