Please come back after April 18th.

new forums & i can't find the original thread
AFAIK the forum software hasn't changed since the end of March. I've merged your previous thread with this one. Please come back after the date mentioned by yapuka, and re-use this thread. Thanks.

That's ODP myth #3796 --in fact there are several hundred editors for every category.

Rule #480 -- always ignore the presence or absence of an editor name at the bottom of a category - no assumptions can be made from it.

Oh geez, hope it doesn't take that long! Actually I meant to ask how long on average?

So much for having it before May :(

I almost said that there is no such thing as an average - of course there is because the average is a statistical function - but it can't be computed and would be worse than meaningless to present. This last week I've personally reviewed and listed sites that had been waiting for review since 2001, since the 20th of March this year, and since about three hours before I saw the submission. The category I happened to be editing in a few hours after the submissions in question had been sent there might now go without any editing for three years; hopefully it won't but there is absolutely no way of knowing this.

With all due respect, you could spend your time much more fruitfully than by trying to pursue answers that nobody is in possession of. Your site is waiting for review, and there is nothing you can do to speed up the process - so my advice would be to forget about the ODP listing and keep working on your software and website.

No yelling today - oh that's no fun.

Sorry but no change in your status - also note -- Secondary status checks now require a six month wait. Please see
http://resource-zone.com/forum/announcement.php?f=22

And change my previous message Longest I've seen is 2.5 years, In the last few days, working in a very neglected area, I see sites from April 2000 waiting review, but in the same week I reviewed a site within 10 minutes of submission - so sites take anywhere from 10 minutes to more than four years to get reviewed.
