Saxongifts.com looks like a Shopping site and should better have been submitted to an appropriate Shopping category, not to Business.

Not sure what you mean about the mirror site. I have two sites that are completly different.

Our Wholesale site is:

One doesn't mirror the other (by my definition). They are 100% coded differently, have different content and are aimed towards different viewers. However, one has a single link to the other. Is that considered a mirror? If so, I'll withdraw http://www.SaxonImports.com ASAP. Please let me know. I not trying to be greedy with the editors time, just simply promoting two seperate wings of our business.

I will follow DMOZ rules to_the_letter.

Neither of the above. Was talking about http://www.subvertcityskateboards.com/ . Which mirrors http://www.saxongifts.com .

Thank you for bring that site to my attention. I was unaware that it existed. I have no connection to that site and I wonder why someone would mirror my site without asking. I have asked them to stop the mirror as it infringes on our copyright.

Any idea why some would pick a site out of the blue to mirror?

Domains by Proxy is a service GoDaddy offers that allows the actual registrant to be hidden. If in fact someone is mirroring your site without permission, you should complain to GoDaddy/Domains by Proxy, Inc.

I find this hard to explain by an accidental DNS pointing error. It appears to be a page for page copy of one site to the other, with most of the URLs changed, but someone forgot to change a few of them.

Thanks Nicky and raggedyrugs for sharing your thoughts and time on the mirroring issue.

I've contacted the hosting company for the site in question and they claimed there was a typo in the MX record for the skate shop. They reported that they corrected the error and once DNS refreshes, the problem will be solved. I hope they're right.

Hopefully this mistake by the hosting company won't reflect badly on my submission. I can supply the reviewing editor the contact info at the Hosting company to verify the mistake was on their end - should need be.

The public pages, usually automatically updated, are currently showing old data. This is a result of the massive work being done to add new servers and features to the site.

Not to worry, this is work in progress, and sometime (hopefully soon) it will happen. Editors won't have anything to do with it -- it's done by the hamsters, ferrets, and other staff at Netscape.com's data center.
