We can't help you with Google, this is ODP - the Open Directory Project/DMOZ, if you want to talk about a category in ODP, then please supply a link to that category.

Since the old URL was broken, the URL has been updated. it may take a while for it to appear on the publi pages, but it has been approved with the existing description.

Thanks.

You can suggest a new one (using the "Update URL" function) but update requests are in the same pool as suggested sites and the editor who processes it may not accept it, especially if it is non-guidelines compliant.

Well, sites are in contiunous evolution, and content on them too, so the old desc might not fit well after one or two years, I think, or maybe there are some new sections/content on the site, even important, that isn't included in old desc.

Right! We recognize that sites eveolve, and when important new content is added we appreciate it when the webmaster points that out via an update request.

A suggestion: rather than trying to rewrite the description, a process many editors view with suspicion as many webmaster tret it as an exercise in keyword stuffing, simply pont out the new, significnt content. ie; Description: [We have added a forum and a new section on beaver dam construction techniques].

The editor will then be keyed to go look at the new content and decide if it warrants being added to an already compliant description.

But please understand that an Update request is merely a suggestion to an editor to re-review the site. I took a look at your update requests and it looked a bit like you were trying to get certain keywords added, rather than really highlighting some new part of the site. Requests of that nature will almost definitely not get approved.

What you need to ask yourself isn't "do they use the words I want?", but "do they describe the site?"

Hope this helps.

no, I realy even don't record what I asked for desc on update. I started to read your guidelines, for axample to become an editor after that. So I red lot of your material after that.
What I wanted to know is becouse I'm going to have services for sub imerssions and I have already an affiliate restaurant for my clients only already, that are not mentioned in site desc I think, and some day trips.
I realy don't record what the desc for my site is for.
that's it

The meanings of MF in my language are wayyyyy too broad for me to even hazard a guess, but I'll take your word for it. :)

I just wanted to make sure that your expectations were set before you spend a lot of time crafting descriptions.

Good luck.
